Go mudlarking on the Steps beach and in the rock pools; potter in the gorgeous shops in Marazion; try the famous Cornish pasties and cream teas; and walk the South West Coastal path. Cross the causeway at low tide, or take the little boat at high tide, and climb the ancient pilgrim steps to the castle at the top of St Michael’s Mount. Have dinner in the local excellent eateries, and then return to your gorgeous apartment - all without having to use a car at all! Because all of these are literally just steps away.

It all began with an engineer in Queen Victoria’s time; he designed railways in South Africa and also in Wales, at Rhymney. Having made his fortune, he came home to Cornwall and designed this splendid double fronted Villa, believed to date from 1880. Our half still retains his stained glass panels on the front doors, the original stairs at the top of the building, and other glorious gems, all of which means it is now of historical interest and Grade II listed. The building is named “Rhymney Villas.” From it, we offer two apartments: Ocean Villas I & II

“Situated along the picturesque shoreline of Mount's Bay, just two miles east of Penance, you will find the charming town of Marazion. You may not know that Marazion is one of the oldest chartered towns in the UK, with the first chapter of incorporation being granted by Henry IIl in 1257 some 766 years ago. To put that into context, if you officially founded a new town today, it would reach Marazion's current age in the year 2789!
Marazion is connected to the tidal island of St Michael's Mount by an ancient, cobbled causeway. This tidal island with its iconic castle and chapel, has historically been the counterpart of Mont-Saint-Michel in France, and is believed to have been the site of a monastery, back in the 8th century. In recent times, it has been a filming location for TV and film hits such as 'Game of thrones: house of the dragon', 'Johnny English', and 'Dracula'.”
