The Great Room

At the front of the apartment is the magnificent Great Room. The huge bay window has wonderful ocean views and looks out along the causeway to St Michael’s Mount. Sit in the rocking chair and enjoy the ever-changing sea views, the weather, the birds - there’s always something to watch!

There are comfortable sofas, to relax and read or to watch something on the vast 55ins TV (there’s Netflix and Sky with Sky sports)

Books, games, jigsaws … curl up and crash!

The Everhot Electric stove provides extra heat for cooler evenings, and has a small oven (use it like a slow cooker)

In the middle of the room is the generous 6 seater table; and beyond that, the new kitchen, supplied with everything you need to cook up a storm! Fridge-freezer, microwave, coffee machine, plenty of pots and pans and china and cutlery, if you want to entertain. A four ring hob, and a generous size oven with all eat equipment you need for a family meal. The cook does’t have to be relegated but can be a part of the family here.

The walls have original art work, and limited edition prints by Kurt Jackson (whose gallery is in St Just if you want to visit and purchase your own copies!) Soft furnishings are by CreamCornwall (found in St Ives and Falmouth as well as Bath)

The Great Room is cosy in the cooler months too.

The Everhot is very cute!

The Kitchen and dining area

You’ll enjoy cooking in the kitchen - and there’s everything you need to cook up a storm!

The table seats 6 comfortably.

But you’ll be relieved to know there are several excellent restaurants, pubs and cafe within just a couple of minutes. Nice - no cooking and no washing up! (although the kitchen has a full size dishwasher!)

Bedrooms

The Master bedroom has a Super-King double bed, with a new REST ASSURED top quality mattress, so you are assured of a restful and good night’s sleep.

There are bedside tables and reading lamps, and generous sized wardrobe and chest of drawers.

The bed is freshly made with luxurious Egyptian cotton linens from Soak and Sleep.

Bedroom Two has a twin pair of single beds, and wonderful seagull wallpaper!

All beds are freshly made up ready for you, using Egyptian high thread count linens; and each guest has a bath sheet and a hand towel - and previous guests have commented on how fluffy and luxurious they are! They are from Soak and Sleep.

The main bathroom is rather splendid and has an extra-long bath.

All the bathrooms have shampoo, conditioner and body wash for your use. We use a local company, BLOOM REMEDIES:

“Based near beautiful Marazion in west Cornwall, Bloom Remedies have been handcrafting their Aroma Wellbeing and Natural Skincare products using traditional techniques and the finest natural ingredients for nearly a decade.  Our small team use essential oils, herbal extracts, organic base oils and a whole lot of love to create fragrant and therapeutic wellbeing and skincare products to help us all live a better and more balanced life.  These amazing gifts from nature are the secret force behind Bloom's founder Marie Hall - an accredited aromatherapist and member of IFPA with a diploma in Essential Oil Science and a beating heart full of intuitive passion.  With her indispensable and committed team Marie and her husband Stephen have built Bloom into a business that distributes their natural loveliness far and wide.”

Bedroom Three

High up in the former attic is this fabulous 40 foot long room, running the length of the house.

It’s divided into four - first is the bathroom area, with toilet and hand basin in one room, and a separate shower.

Then there’s a fun area with TV and DVD player and beanbag chairs, for when the young want to be lost in the screen. Bring your own games console!

In the middle, there’s the bedroom, with two built-in single cabin-style beds. The beds are freshly made with luxurious Egyptian cotton linens from Soak and Sleep.

There’s a large and a small chest of drawers. And fabulous views!

And the final area on the top floor boasts a reading nook with sea views to the side, and a wonderful antique counting desk, high enough to sit and look out of the secret window at the end which overlooks the Mount.

We love to sit and (pretend to) work here!
